Their targets are extrasolar planets near the Earth.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h6><strong>A new Hunter of exoplanets<\/strong><\/h6>\n<p>Exoplanets or Extrasolar planets are among most interesting\u00a0subjects in modern astronomy. These are the planets that are orbiting around other stars.<\/p>\n<p>While for a long time we have known that they should\u00a0exist somewhere\u00a0out there\u00a0but it was just in the middle of 1990s that we discovered one of them.<\/p>\n<p>Since then we discovered thousands\u00a0of new worlds, in all sizes and shapes.<\/p>\n<p>Many of them are discovered by Kepler Space Telescope during last few years.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong>TimeLine: A short history of hunting the exoplanets\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h6><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.knightlab.com\/libs\/timeline3\/latest\/embed\/index.html?source=1QBxIRxpZM2sldu7aMeENv_ynrhfUpat6vgfGC197rtg&amp;font=Default&amp;lang=en&amp;initial_zoom=2&amp;height=650\" width=\"100%\" height=\"650\" frameborder=\"2\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/h6>\n<h6><strong>New hunter in search of New Worlds<\/strong><\/h6>\n<p>If everything is going according to the plan, on Monday, April\u00a016th, Falcon 9 rocket (A Space\u00a0X company luncher) will carry a new telescope to the orbit. These are the places where we will talk about a lot, we are looking for the holy\u00a0grail of the planetary\u00a0search and maybe in our lifetime, we will witness the discovery of first Earth 2.0; An Earth-sized\u00a0rocky planet, with the similar atmosphere that is orbiting in the habitable zone around a Sun-like\u00a0star.<\/p>\n<p>Maybe even right now someone is standing in one of those planets and looking to the sky and searching for us.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>TEST YOUR KNOWLEDGE OF EXOPLANETS\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/pnazemi.polldaddy.com\/s\/worlds-beyond-our-home?iframe=1\" width=\"100%\" height=\"600\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"auto\"><a href=\"https:\/\/pnazemi.polldaddy.com\/s\/worlds-beyond-our-home\">View Survey<\/a><\/iframe><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>&#8212;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Behind\u00a0the story<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The rationale behind the story<br \/>\nThis is the story about new telescope in search of exoplanets.<br \/>\nI chose to use a timeline to show the progress of our search and advancement in the field of exoplanets and how we progressed.<br \/>\nAlso, I chose to use a quiz for this article.<br \/>\nThe reason for choosing the quiz is it could surprise the audiences with the facts, and also it helps them to find out few points that maybe they don&#8217;t care in the context of the story itself.<br \/>\nI recognized that a quiz is a tool for engaging the audience but in this case and the context of the explanatory story, I think it could serve as a journalistic tool.<br \/>\nIt could add to the facts that audiences can learn from the story, and it doesn&#8217;t distract them and also didn&#8217;t design as just a click bite.<br \/>\nSo I think it is a fun add-in to the story.<\/p>\n<p>About the timeline, I think it actually tells part of the story in a way that empowered the purpose of it.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Falconry; This is the name of a sport and ancient method of hunting.
